| We have an exciting opportunity for an Installation Engineer
The purpose of the Installation Engineer is to carry out and complete installations and customer service calls within a defined geographical area. (Normally with their own postcode area). The role involves carrying out installations and service calls on your own, in all reasonable weather conditions. The engineer is part of a team of installers reporting into a Team Manager. The role also requires good customer care skills, time management and self-motivation
Salary: £ 14925+ Bonus (average earnings £22,000)
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days.

Company vehicle, all tools, uniform, mobile phone and materials required carrying out the job.
Minimum requirements for the job: Must live in the postcodes given Must be 21+ (due to the company vehicle being leased and insurance will not be given to those below 21) Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points Previous installation experience is not essential but the candidates must be able to demonstrate customer focus skills along with their ability to be self-motivated.
Key Skills: Should be PC literate, having had regular use of computers.
Ideally, will be comfortable with installing software and hardware to computers
Able to use popular Internet applications such as a web browser and email
Basic knowledge of computer networking within the home environment
Able to explain fully, and in an articulate manner, the advantages of using a broadband connection. Use of multiple operating systems is an advantage but not essential.
Key responsibilities of this role: To carry out estimated time of arrival calls to the customer.
On arrival at the customer’s house to discuss the installation or service work with the customer ensuring the customer understands and is happy with the installation or service process.
To ensure the installation completion of a professional telephone extension.
To install a satellite dish in its best and least obtrusive position, ensuring it is correctly fixed by utilising appropriate bracketry.
To install and ensure neat routing of cabling between dish and set top box (STB).
To provide a high level of customer service at all times, and obtain customers agreement at each stage of the installation or service call.
To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act, along with the Company Health and Safety procedures and requirements.
To maintain regular communication with Team Manager, Operational Support, and other relevant, essential contracts.
To carry out Service Installations. |
