Quality Engineer - Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire

Job Ref. :uker16025 Quality Engineer   Job Location: Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: C£25-28k + Benefits Job Details Our client is a prestigious engineering organisation based in Derbyshire, currently looking for a Quality Engineer from a mechanical engineering background, ideally with auditing experience. Ideally HND qualified or equivalent, with previous experience working as a Quality Engineer ideally from an aerospace background. Experience in conducting Audits, writing quality procedures and manuals, and organizing calibration. You will be from an engineering manufacturing background, and be competent in Root Cause Analysis, ideally with training and/or experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology. This role is a hands on quality engineer position, where you will focus on getting actively involved on the shop floor, working with employees to identify any issues / problems through root cause analysis tools and techniques, and identifying and implementing permanent solutions. In addition, you may be required to carry out training such as Group Induction Training, Human Factors Training, and providing employees with the tools to work as part of the quality team on problem solving etc. You will work closely with the Lean / Six Sigma Engineer, identifying continuous and quality improvements, so you will need to be an exceptionally focused, dynamic individual, looking to make things happen.
