| At Marshall SV we are proud to be working with many international clients on a wide range of products. Due it increased demand we are now recruiting for a talented and driven Electrical Systems Engineering Manager. Reporting to Chief Engineer you will be:-
• The technical authority for all electrical design within MSV • Responsible for the design and verification of MSV electrical systems to ensure the safety, integrity and compliance with current regulations and customer requirements • Ensure that all business streams are appropriately resourced ensuring tasks are completed on time, on budget and to specification • Define the electrical systems engineering architecture including integration of all major electrical subcontracted items • Ensure that the system design meets the project financial expectations (design to specification and to cost) • Ensure that the electrical system functions according to the customers technical requirements and legislative requirements. • Ensure compliance to MSV Engineering Procedures • Ensure compliance to contract technical and statutory product requirements • Ensure that the electrical system engineering design and product are safe and fit for purpose, thus ensuring that the customers expectations are met or exceeded • Ensure that the electrical department remains up to date with current safety and legislation requirements • Develop MSV’s electrical and electronic engineering core competencies to achieve the engineering department corporate objectives
Your Areas of responsibilities will be :- • To represent and report on electrical systems engineering matters at project reviews • To define, manage and present electrical aspects of project system design reviews • To manage the storage of technical data and rationale to support and validate the electrical systems engineering management and approach • Produce technical specifications for major subcontract items • Ensure that test schedules are produced for the system and system components • Ensure that design packages are complete and are suitable for efficient manufacture and assembly at MSV • Manage Systems Engineering requirements for bids • Authorise schematics, wiring diagrams, designs, drawings, product build standards and configuration control • Ensure that all required analyses, demonstrations and tests have been performed to allow product verification and validation against the technical requirements • Ensure requirements traceability according to the project statement of work. • Ensure that a consistent system approach is adopted across all electrical engineering functions
You Will Have:-
Knowledge:- Good breadth of Electrical Systems Engineering knowledge required and an understanding of Conceptual design. Requirements for Electrical Installations IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) Understanding of EMC requirements Understanding of EMP & NEMP hardening Understanding of Lightning Protection in electrical systems Working knowledge of MOD and MIL procedures Understanding of electrical power distribution designs Understanding of TEMPEST requirements
Skills:- Personnel management and the ability to delegate. Ability to create a team spirit to encourage efficient output Computer literate MS office.
Experience:- Ideally an experienced Engineer with conceptual design experience. Working to specifications and budgets. Broad range of engineering experience acceptable, military systems design experience preferred
Qualifications:- Degree in an Electrical Engineering Discipline City & Guilds 2382 Requirements for Electrical Installations IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) 17th Edition City & Guilds 2392 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations. Chartered Eng preferred
